Hello dear reader.
Welcome to the 2014 Ballerina Chef gift list: a heavily curated list containing three of my favorite things that I'd either like to gift or be gifted with this holiday season.
If you, like me, haven't quite finished your xmas shopping or haven't got a clue what to get your friend/family member/favorite pet this year, have no fear, this gift-guide is here to help you find that perfect gift for your loved one.
Paper & Tea Gift Set
(Any long-time reader of Ballerina Chef has seen this blog post that I wrote about the beautiful Paper & Tea store in Charlottenburg.)
Number one on my list are the stunning gift sets that Berlin-based store Paper & Tea recently introduced to the market. Ideal for the tea-enthusiast in your life, these boxes of pure teas and perfectly paired accessories, are sure to make even the most hectic busy bee sit down to enjoy a good cuppa.
These teas come with instructions on how to get the best brew with the leaves you've been gifted, so they're also a great gift for your tea-novice friends out there. And don't worry if your wrapping skills leave something to be desired, it's all pre-packaged in either an artsy print or a quirky little box.
So this Christmas, why not give them the best pot... of tea?!
It might be too late for Christmas delivery for International shoppers, but belated gifts are just as great.
Kinfolk Magazine Subscription
Next on my list is Kinfolk Magazine. One of the prettiest publications you will ever behold, Kinfolk Magazine is a lifestyle magazine dedicated to exploring "ways for readers to simplify their lives, cultivate community and spend more time with their friends and family". Chock-full of interesting interviews, stunning photographs, and witty articles about things like "beach etiquette" and being left-handed, Kinfolk is not merely a magazine to read, but a prized possession to gawk at and display on your coffee table.
Perfect for you procrastinators out there - you don't have to wait for any delivery on this one - you can even leave this until Christmas Eve or the minute before they wake up on Christmas morning. They'll never be the wiser.
Convinced?! Get your lucky friend a Kinfolk Magazine Subscription, and invite yourself over often so that you get to read it and cash-in on the gift too.
Rifle Paper Co. Cards
Last but not least on my list are these adorable cards.
To me, cards are an integral part of gifting, and Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co. makes the dreamiest, happiest cards out there. Whichever occasion, whether it be a birthday, Valentine's or just because, the card of your dreams is over at Rifle Paper Co.'s website - which sells not only stationery, but also iPhone cases, prints, calendars, and rolls of wallpaper that I'd go broke for.
These cute Nutcracker-themed postcards are perfect to send to your loved ones all over the world, and who cares if they're a bit late?! They will be so distracted by how nice these postcards are that they won't even notice the cookies you sent them are already half-eaten.
(... It wasn't me... It was Blitzen. I swear.)
So there it is, my 2014 xmas gift list.
I hope it provided you with some good ideas or inspiration for that special someone(s). Just remember, it's not the gift, but the thought that counts.
On another note - what are you asking Santa for this year?
